Allocation is the process of distributing actual or measured volumes to a transaction based on scheduled volumes and pre-determined allocation methods (PDAs) provided by an operator, or default ranks if PDAs are not provided.

The ePipeMaster system calculates allocated quantities at time specified by business unit for each gas flow daty. ePipeMaster provides several standard way to allocate. Business units can choose allocation method for each location flexibly or implement their own allocation method. The allocations batch job puts volumes shipper's nominations, business unit OBAs, and also calculates when there are penalties involved. Allocated quantities (not nominated or scheduled volumes) are used for cash out, balancing, & billing purposes.
