ePipeMaster provides several standard ways to communicate with other enterprise system in the same organization or outside. ePipeMaster acts as both client and service. When acting as service, ePipeMaster provides all related pipeline operation information for external system. When acting as client, ePipeMaster requires information from external system.

The standard communication ways include web service, message broker (JMS), EDI and flat file upload or download, import or export, and direct database access.

The typical external systems include SCADA, gas control, measurement, customer credit system, other pipeline system, business associate's system, etc.
